Peer Mentors

Shane Dallyn

I am Co-founder and Peer Mentor with VEPAD. I started VEPAD in hoping to have a safe place for peers to meet, as well as trying to stamp out stigma faced by marginalized people. “Many voices can bring change”.

Hi, my name is JoAnne and I am a Peer Mentor and Co-founder of VEPAD. I want to help the marginalized people to put them on the right path and help end stigma.

The reason I joined VEPAD is because I wanted to change the stigma surrounding homelessness. I have lived the life of a drug addict and a sex worker and have watched my daughter also live the life of an addict. Change has to start somewhere and I want to be part of it. I care about my community and believe we can make a difference.

Rachel Williams

Good day. I am Rachel and I want to change people’s negative stigma into a positive perspective. I have lived experience, but that is not what defines me. I am a loving wife, a caring friend, and an outgoing person that wears my heart on my sleeve.
